Oracea and Metrogel for acne?

Hello clear skin allies!

Do any of you have information or experience with Oracea &/or Metrogel used for the treatment of acne?

I do know that Oracea is an an anti-inflammatory dose of doxycycline and an oral therapy for rosacea. Metrogel is a topical treatment for rosacea.

Thanks in advance.

  1. I found this short feature:

"For about a month, Wendy’s been taking Oracea – a medication typically used to treat the skin condition rosacea.

It’s not FDA approved for acne yet but dermatologist Lisa Rhodes says it’s been effective for many of her acne patients, including Wendy.

"I’ve especially found a lot of success in patients with the cystic acne, especially women in their 30s and 40s that get the cysts around their jaw line, it is typically hormonally-based acne," said Dr, Rhodes."

  2. MetroGel Cream is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial. It works by decreasing inflammation.
I have no idea on the other medication you have mention.
