Oxy-Powder

I’ve read about this a lot to help clean out the colon and intestines. I’m very tempted to get it-anyone tried it?

  1. It really works! Not for long term use though Wally – this stuff dissolves everything in the colon and you end up with a lot of butt pee. After 1-2 months of this stuff, switch to something like colonix/psyllium based cleanser that will retrain the bowels.

  2. Thanks Maya! I ordered some and hopefully it will be here soon. It will be somewhat hard to do it, because I’m at college and from what I’ve read, the first 3 days are pretty intense.

  3. hey maya would something like epsom salts and lemon juice be around the same?

it’s so damn pricy…and i just got off my addiction to supplements lol

  4. Wally – if you take the full dose of 10, you’ll be running to the toilet all the time! I suggest you start with 5 a day over a weekend and see how you respond, you can go up or down – it still works.

edenfield – no, do not go for epsom salts as a regular thing – it is very dehydrating and can damage the kidneys if used out of context of a monthly liver flush.

  5. damn hell! lol

    it’s just so expensive 🙁

i got a cleanse called bioxy cleanse but it’s not exactly that effective…

i do know that epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) will cause the laxative effect, but oxypowder is essentially magnesium oxide isn’t it? would magnesium oxide be ok?

i also would supplement with potassium (acv) and other electrolytes

Thanks as always Maya. Have you use it or done any bowel cleansing before?

  7. Thanks as always Maya. Have you use it or done any bowel cleansing before?

    You’re very welcome.

    Yes, lots of bowel cleansing.

Let me explain a little here – there are 2 forms of Bowel cleansing:

    1. Large intestines/Colon – this is done via colonics/ home colema board/enemas

    2. Small intestines – using products like oxy-powder/colosan/homozone = all oxygen cleansers meant to ‘melt’ away old matter – then there are the psyllium based products meant to re-train the bowels by bulking up – products like psyllium/colonix

To get thorough cleansing, you need to do both types of cleansing.

I have a home colema board (similar to colonics but uses around 5 gallons of water as opposed to the 10-15 gallons used for colonics, plus the water is gravity fed, not via a pump as in colonics)

I use oxy powder for the 5 days before liver flushing, plus do a colema the day before liver flushing. I then again do a colema the day after liver flushing. After the L flush, I take colonix fibre twice a day for 3-5 days, after that, I use the colema board once a week at most until the cycle of flushing happens again.

If I end up pigging out on some bad foods, I tend to use 5 capsules of oxy-powder that night to flush it all out rather than let it hang around. I don’t make a habit of this, but it helps!

Bowel cleansing is essential to good health (above all other types of cleansing) since it’s the 1st route out for toxins – 2nd route is the skin, 3rd route is the lungs and 4th route is the brain.

edenfield – you don’t have to use the oxy-powder as stated on the website, you can just use 5 a night for several nights, then use it to back up whatever cleansing you are doing. I think homozone is cheaper, but more fiddly to use as you have to mix with water plus drink with lemon juice added.

Yes, magnesium oxide should be ok as that’s what Oxy-powder is basically plus some herbs/citrus.

I think there’s also a product called CALM, that uses magnesium citrate, you might find that cheaper too. http://www.therawworld.com/cgi-bin/quikstore.cgi?category=Natural_Vitality_Products_(Natural_Calm)

Hope that all helps. Feel free to ask any more Qs

  8. Thanks again Maya. I have one question. You said Oxy-Powder cleanses the small intestine but I found this on their site:

    9) What makes Oxy-Powder different from other colon cleansers?
First of all it is a full intestinal cleanser. It is designed to clean, oxidize and reduce the amount of impaction and hard fecal matter in the small intestine, large intestine and colon. It is the only colon cleanser that provides oxygen into the bloodstream and bowel and does so in a natural and non-toxic way. The average person by the age of 40 has between 10-20 pounds of hard compacted fecal matter lodged in their intestinal tract. Our intestinal tract is 30-35 feet in length and if you cut it open and spread it out, the surface area is the size of a tennis court. In order to clean the digestive tract you must turn that solid compaction into a liquid or gas, using time-released oxygen (oxidation/reduction). This is what the Oxy-Powder will do. By using Oxy-Powder you can melt away or oxidize the compaction from the small intestine, large intestine and colon, safe and effectively. This is important because a clean intestinal tract is the beginning of obtaining optimal health. Other cleansers focus on the colon and stimulate mucous production instead of breaking down hard fecal matte

    ?

  9. Most people have quite poor digestive systems (due to years of junk, environmental toxins, stress etc.) and even though the oxy is meant to clean everything – the small intestine is the first place it reaches – and it does attempt to clean everything, but doesn’t normally get that far.

If we were clean, we wouldn’t need the oxy – the oxy tends to reach only the first part of the intestines, and some of the large intestines – colemas/enemas etc .. only work the large intestines and the water and retention, combined with massaging at the same time is what makes it so effective.

  10. I have a home colema board (similar to colonics but uses around 5 gallons of water as opposed to the 10-15 gallons used for colonics, plus the water is gravity fed, not via a pump as in colonics)

    Hello Maya,

Where did you purchase the home colema board?

  11. Got my order today. I’m going to take 5 pills and see how it goes. I’ve eaten really bad the last few days-don’t know if that will affect anything.

  12. How long is the process of oxypowder like after the 7 day cleanse do u constanly have to keep doing it?

  13. Maya or anyone,

do you know about Holistic Horizons intestinal cleanse program? and if so, what ya think about it.

  14. How long is the process of oxypowder like after the 7 day cleanse do u constanly have to keep doing it?

I would say Yes to an extent. If you completely change what you eat then you would still probably need to use it for a little while afterwards. If you chnage your eating for the better but still eat some bad things (in my opinion what most people can and should do) then you would probably need to do maintence every so often. Have you used it?

  15. I havent used it yet but i want to when i get 2 weeks off becuase im in college i dont want to be running to the washroom every 10 min during class. Do u think 2 weeks on the stuff would be resonable with a diet change and say use it maybe one week a month? thx

  16. I’m in college too and I’m worried about the same thing. Its really tough too because I’m on the dorm meal plan, which isn’t the healthiest but I think I can do it. I ate pretty bad today so I think I’m going to take 10 or 12 pills tonight-so hopefully it wont be too bad.

Do u think 2 weeks on the stuff would be resonable with a diet change and say use it maybe one week a month? thx

Two week to get most of it out and then eating better with maintence sounds like a plan! Keep us updated on how it goes!

  17. Maya,

first, there’s the Intestinal cleansing formula in tablets : rosemary, chickweed, plantain, bayberry bark, irish moss and corn silk extract.

Then there’s the Bulking agent : psyllium husks, dandelion root, plantago endosperm, plantago embryo, cloves.

  18. camille – not too sure about some of those ingredients, but psyllium is always used as a bulking agent that trains to bowels to work.

    Why not go for colonix?

  19. plantain is a type of banana, i guess to make the bowel move

    bayberry helps clear mucis

irish moss as well helps make the bowel move

corn silk? i dunno i guess for texture

psyllium as maya said is a bulking agent

    dandelion helps with the liver

plantago endosperm and plantago embryo – i’m guessing this is just fibre

    cloves – kills parasites

  20. get colosan instead of oxypowder. yes it is a powder. but its a lot cheaper and lasts longer. it has a slight chalky taste. Definitely not a problem to take.
