i’ve never seen so many blackheads and whiteheads

i don’t post here very often, unless i’m desperate for help…and now is one of those times. my entire nose, and in between my eyebrows and all through my cheeks across till the middle of my pupils is a mess, full of large pores and blackheads and whiteheads and clogged pores. it’s disgusting. i’ve tried everything, and nothing works. accutane got rid of all the cyst type bumps i had, but now i have this mess to deal with. retin-a and tazorac have not helped with it. i’m just wondering if diet could be affecting this? i mean, i know diet has a general effect on acne, but i haven’t noticed any triggers for me, but is there any way to eat specifically that could help blackheads or whiteheads or clogged pores?

  1. There is a huge database on diet within this forum. Check it out >>>^

My 2 cents – Basically, cut common triggers like white rice, wheat, dairy and refined sugar from your diet for a period of time and see if that helps. You might be sensitive to one or all of these. Whether you are or not, they are THE inflammatory-causing foods that are most eaten by people.

Drink 2 litres/8 cups of water with lemon. Use half a lemon to 2 ltrs of bottled/filtered water OR 1 tsp of lemon to 2 cups. Lemon is one of nature’s best cleansers and healers.

Eat loads of fresh and lightly cooked veg with a little salt, a good amount of fruit (preferably in the morning) and try out grains other than wheat like gluten-free varieties. Oats and rye are less irritating than wheat.

Eat more starchy veg. These are the real complex carbs that can replace the carbs we get from white foods (bread, potatoes, pasta, rice etc.)

Eat eggs! packed full of vitamins that help acne.

Do all of these things for at least a week – 2 weeks for noticable improvement. Ideally, do these as part of a healthy balanced diet.

All you can do now is wait for the healing to begin and without fail, these tips will speed it up. Supplements or foods rich in Zinc, vit. A, C & E will aid healing also.

  2. Hi Everyone!

I used Proactive Solution myself and it didn’t work for me because it completely dried my skin out, due to the fact it has Benzoyl Peroxide in it. My skin was looking great for the first week, but then it became worse and dry wasn’t a good look.

But I guess everyones skin reacts differently. I’d suggest that if this regime you’re currently trying out is unsuccessful, try MD Formulations. That’s what I’m using at the moment and it’s working wonders. It’s rehydrated my skin and it feels fantastic! Plus, because the products contain AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) which is a light exfoliant, there’s no need to use rough exfoliants which may upset the skin. This will definitely assist in getting rid of your blackheads and whiteheads, as I to have had the same problem. The web address is: www-DOT-mdformulations-DOT-com

If it appeals, investigate which beautician in your area stocks the products and get them to examine your skin first.

If your having major problems with your skin, another option is getting a referral to see a Dermatologist. They can put you on Oral Antibiotics and/or Topical Antibiotics which is applied to the skin. Using the MD Formulations products, plus those two Antibiotics, plus a ZINC Tablet once a day. Has just made such a difference to my skin.

Sounds like a lot, but it pays off I assure you. Now I don’t have to worry about my skin anymore.

Good Luck – Guys & Girls!!!
