Hey guys, Long time reader, first time poster and all that.
I’ll cut right to the chase. Im a 19 year old male with a weight of around 165 lbs. and earlier today filled out all my paperwork and such for the accutane. Now, I was able to get the perscription through my health clinic’s doctors, actual family practictioners who are certified in it, not actual derms. Well this saves me alot of hassle and cash, I do have a couple of questions.
First off, when I went there it was very busy (hour long weight) so they were all very rushed, and he diddnt really explain all this ipledge stuff well enough, as I dont really know what im supposed to do with it and where exactly on their site I need to register, so I will be calling him about that.
MMy main question is however, he gave me no special instructions as to how to take it. Like starting with half a dosage, then moving up, ect. On my perscription it simply states to take two pills a day with meals, and the pills themselves are 40 mg.
Now, thats 80 mg a day. Im just curious, most blogs I’ve seen on here dont go that far, is this dossage to high for me?
Oh yeah, I suppose its important to tell you all that the reason I am on accutane is for nasty body acne more then the face. Well the face is annoying and acne is a constant presense in that region, I wouldnt call it severe.
I would greatly appreciate any of your help, this board has been helpful to me for years, but I just finally had to post a question
