com’on…..someone must have one that ACTUALLY works!

im on B5,zinc and fish oil pills…. they’re sopposed to help with texture… not seen results yet. anyone used this and had GOOD results?

  2. Alycia added:

Im doing the Cool Touch Laser and Versa Pulse Laser. The versa pulse has helped so much with the redness. And I have had 3 or 4 of those. And the Cool Touch laser not sure yet. That takes a few months to see results. But I’ll let ya know!

There are so many types of treatments for scars, hard to say what is the best.

    For red marks/pigmentation/shallow scars:
    Vinegar dabbing
    Mandelic/kojic creams
    Copper peptides
    Retin-a
    Glycolic/lactic peels
    Tape method

    For pitted/boxscars/icepicks:
Skin needling (rolling scars, boxscars and smaller icepicks)
    subcision (rolling scars and boxscars)
Punch excision (mainly for deep ice picks)
TCA cross method (mainly for ice picks)

    For both the above
    Non ablative lasers: N-lite/smoothbeam etc..

There are fillers too!! and other methods of course

Cider vinegar (diluted – 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water) is best – just rub onto face several times a day.

3 main types of depressed scars:

Boxscars – look like chicken pock scars – can be shallow or deep

Ice picks – as the name suggests – looks like someone stuck an ice pick in your face -so it could be a big or small hole – like an enormous open pore

Rolling scars – looks like orange peel – if you stretch the skin, the scars seemingly dissapear

Red marks are not scars – they fade in time

damn, really good posts here. hey maya, i think i have some orange peel scars, and probably a couple of shallow ones. how would you get rid of those?i dont think i have any ice picks. most my scars are still red. and i use AZELEX and its working good. really good,im pretty sure their is some treatment for me,cause its not that bad anymore. and i use retin-A micro on activ acne. if i stretch my skin by making faces. (you know what i mean, like if you wistle)it looks like i dont have any scars. what should i do for that? and i want to do all i can on my own for my scars, like the viniger stuff and what ever else i can. can you help me? i dident really get what you said about the vinger though. how do you mix it? which viniger?where do i get the viniger? etc..

    Thanx alot!

Read the first ten or so pages of the link Maya provided. It has a lot of info about cider vinegar.

About the vinegar – read the thread link I posted above. You can start off with the vinegar for a couple of months and if that isn’t good enough, consider subcision or skin needling/ Also try non-ablative lasers like smnoothbeam and N-lite.

does it ever completely remove the scar? or does it ever look like clear smoothe skin again?

You mean with the vinegar? Should see some good results within 4 weeks and then you can gage how well it works for you – everyone is different.

    Definetly a good try :D

Sorry Maya, but you sound like a doctor in that sentence. (everyone is different) But it is true that we are all different even though we are all the same.
